theiphoneproject has been around since February of 2008.  Our initial debut was of iLiberty+, a highlight of the iPhone unlocking world.  We also dealt with the first PwnageTool release and have continued to serve the unlocking community. If you are coming here in hopes of reaching ZiPhone - it is dead.  Zibri has abandoned the iPhone community for a very long time now.  His inability to code and god-like ego made it very hard for past “teams” to work together.  ZiPhone was the first publicly released 1.1.2 software unlock.  However, there is some speculation that it was indeed the iphone-dev that developed that method.  We at theiphoneproject were previously affiliated with Zibri, and since January split away from the axis of evil.  If enough inquiries are made, we might be able to compose a history of events.  It is very interesting - but nothing to help your iPhone :).  So in the end, we just forwarded all traffic to theiphoneproject.org - our software is safer, better, and the support is better.  Oh, and you don’t have to update every two days.
